Wotcher! This Saturday, The Last Days of Decadence plays host to the amazing Cellar Door Vaudeville, a unique performance arts event which promises to fuse stylistic aspects of the 1920s with the best of the modern age. Burlesque dancers will titillate the glamorous audience amongst sumptuous Art Deco surroundings whilst VJs cut James Cagney with Charlie Chaplin. Feathers, top hats and head-dresses are all the rage, dapper Dans in zoot suits and ladies in flapper dress...and why not get your shoes shined by a grubby cockney street kid while you're here?! The night will feature musicians, dancers, comedians, magicians, trained animals, impersonators, plays and short movies, including the heavenly talents of: - Adrian Sherwood (1920s Dubstep!)
- The Kitten Club
- Sylvia Ferreira Dance Company
- Little Axe
- Ghetto Priest
- Sandman
- Jennie Matthias
- Sunset Biatchez
- Colombo Majik
- Squarepegs (Leftovers)
- The Peeps (Leftovers)
- Jarmean?
- Emmet Brown's Flea Circus
...and many more - it's madness, I tell you! To get the drop on these on other denizens of the dark and mysterious demi-monde behind the Cellar Door, why not pay a visit to the Cellar Door Vaudeville Myspace. £10 advance tickets will be available from gigantic.com. Get 'em while they're hot, it's more on the door and availability is strictly limited. This is not your run-of-the-mill club night, if you take our advice you'll arrive nice and early so as not to miss anything. 'Set to be one of the quirkiest events London has seen, dont miss it whatever you do!!' - The Big Issue Customised outfits available on request. For details, email!
